Michael J. Renna, President & CEO, SJI, Named South Jerseyan of the Year—Private Sector by Rutgers University’s Senator Walter Rand Institute for Public Affairs
FOLSOM, NJ, May 8, 2024 – SJI is proud to announce that Michael J. Renna, President & CEO, was recognized as a South Jerseyan of the Year for the private sector by Rutgers University’s Senator Walter Rand Institute for Public Affairs (WRI). The WRI honored Renna, along with Dana Redd, Former Camden City Mayor and President & CEO, Camden Community Partnership (Public Sector Honoree) and Lori Leonard, CEO, Habitat for Humanity of South Central New Jersey (Nonprofit Sector Honoree), at the Walter and Leah Rand Awards and Scholarship Dinner on May 1 at Tavistock Country Club.

The South Jerseyan of the Year awards are presented annually to celebrate the contributions of outstanding individuals in the public, private and nonprofit sectors working to improve lives and strengthen communities. Renna was recognized for his work and achievements in the private sector to meet cleaner energy goals and standards in the community.
